I seem to be having some sort of electrical issue with my 07 F150. On occasion when I start my truck my interior lights, instruments cluster, radio, and warning chime do not work. I have checked every fuse in the system and the problem continues. Not every time but at least twice a week. Has anyone else had this problem and how do I fix it?
Just wondering if you found the problem. Having the same issues with my 2006 , not intermittent tho. Steady problem since the cold weather and lack of use for 2 weeks killed the battery . Thanks in advance.
No I have not been able to locate the issue yet. I am going to try changing the 30amp curcuit breaker and the Relay that handles the interior. If that does not work I guess its going to Ford.
Yeah, that was the first thing I did. I still think its in the fuse box. Maybe something that was damaged from a deer strike and is just now showing up.
I have a 2005 F150 XLT and have the same/similar problem. It started about a year ago (haven't been driving it much since). It started after the Ford Dealership did recall work on the airbag clockspring (inside steering wheel). Shortly after that, the entire instrument cluster, power steering, a/c, stereo, power windows would just go out driving down the road for about a minute then come back on. The airbag would flash a 53 code and remain on. Sometimes the check engine would come on too. Sometimes the display would say TEST. It seems to be intermittently so can't say what is causing it. I took back to the dealership, but they couldn't figure it out (wouldn't admit they could have caused it either). Any help would be appreciated. Really hate dealing with the dealership!
I get the same airbag warning indicators when the power goes out. That is why I think the deer strike may have caused something to go bad. Neither airbag deployed after the collision which was head on at 50 + so maybe the problem is an airbag issue.
