CEL issue...

So I'm getting a P0171 code on my '96 4.0 Explorer.. I've checked for vac leaks and didn't see any, no broken hoses or anything. Just wanted to see if you guy's had any incite and maybe common fixes.

I plan to smoke test it soon when I get a chance, so make sure it 100% isn't a vac leak.

The smoke test will be your friend for this. Since you're just getting a code for bank 1, that's where you should focus. Intake gasket comes to mind....

I had a feeling they where it but wanted to be 100% sure. Sure enough with the smoke flowing it took some time but i saw it slowly seep from between the upper and lower.
