If you do a suspension lift rather than a body lift you do not need the steering extension.
As far as getting 1 Call summit racing.... they carry them..
PS Body lifts can carry a whole can of worms that you may not want especially on an older truck.... IE broken brake lines, broken fuel lines, broken wires etc
I recommend going suspension lift instead. you will increase your suspension travel making it MUCH more capable off road and still be able to fit your tires you want.
Yes it will be a suspension lift. Sorry for not mentioning. I hate body lifts.
I already found the lift kit I need, I just wanted to know if I need any steering parts. Longer pitman arm, different tie rod ends, etc. Do I need any parts besides the lift springs, blocks, and u-bolts?
I would check out something like a superlift that has everything you need. The kit I used last had everything from blocks, and bolts to dropped pitman arm, drop brackets. If you have a brand in mind see if they offer a kit with everything. Mush easier to keep all parts same make then mix and match.
yes most suspension lift kits come with everything.... Sometimes the drop pitman arm is about 35-50 bucks extra but usually included.
Look into Rough Country lifts.... they are extremely inexpensive (compared to super lift or skyjacker) and they hold up extremely well (had a 2wd kit on a ranger) that I beat the hell out of for about 5 years till I blew the engine at about 245K Miles.
Rough country lifts are also (Usually) fairly easy to install provided you have the right tools. My ranger kit required me to do some minor cutting of the axle pivot in the crossmember on the drivers side of the frame but was an easy task with an angle grinder and cutoff wheels.
With a 6" kit of you are going to do a lot of off road with the truck, You will want to look in to longer flex hoses for brakes. You might have some issues with prop shaft length at full drop. Also with a 6 inch you might want to look into a steering system upgrade. You might be a little unhappy with just a drop pitmen arm if doing a lot of on road driving.
year Make model and Engine your truck is equipped with.....
I know it is an 88 ford but beyond that......
It's the 88 F350 with a 460 in my sig

Where can I get the long brake hoses?
When you say prop shaft, do you mean the driveshaft? If so, what do I do about it? Longer drive shafts?
I've been considering a steering upgrade but I'm not sure what to go with. This truck will see a lot of dirt and a good bit of mud, but it will also see a lot of road time. Any suggestions?
