4x4 issue also
My Issue is with the hubs in Auto-Lock I switch to 4 wheel HI, there is a clunking noise while moving and it does not go into 4 wheel drive……When the hubs are locked, there is a clunking noise. I flip to 4 wheel Hi, the clunking is worse but the 4 wheel drive works. When hubs are in auto and is in 2 wheel everything is fine

If I am understanding you correctly I would say you have one or two defective locking hub mechanisms. Also check the knuckle seals and axle joints while inspecting the needle bearings and their races on the stub shaft.

I would take the hubs off, take them apart and inspect them. If they look ok, no broken parts, grease all the parts up, re-assemble and see how they work. Dont forget to grease the big O-ring on the end of the hub before you reseat the hubs. Check out the link....

I took the hubs off, took them apart and cleaned & greased everything. Still the same. Also wanted to mention, after it starts making this noise, the only way to get it to stop is to pull out both hubs. thanks for the advice
