Choke Cap Question

I recently bought this electric assist choke cap but it didn't come with any instructions. But it did come with TWO gaskets. My Autolite 4100 with the thermostatic choke cap only used the upper gasket. Can someone tell me if both gaskets are used and what is the purpose of the lower gasket?

Only use one or the other. The cut-outs in the lower one are for the tang as well as hot air in and out to the "cavity" that gets created between the gasket and the choke spring itself. The lower gasket may help distribute warm air over the choke spring more, I'm guessing. I've seen it on a lot of 2150s and it always seems to be included in kits. If your original used the circular gasket, just use that. On 2150's, the two small holes line up with the ports in the choke housing - if that's not the case on the 4100, then definitely don't use it.
