The bed does not touch the cab...there is a gap. The outside of the box at the front is wider than the outside of the box at the back. I have a 6' 6" bed on my 03, I can measure that for you if you tell me exactly where to put the tape. The inside is a constant if you need that also...i.e..a rectangle.

Ok...now just clarifying, you want measurements from the top of the bed rail, outside to outside , & front to back... right?
ALso...is that with or without the factory plastic bed rail cap?
