Not sure what auto supply stores are near, but you might go on-line and see if you can find a part number for the belt. Then you can ask for it at the counter and go from there.
Yeah, the PO removed it and the pulley when I bought it. Found the tensioner pulley, but no belt. As far as I could tell the compressor isn't frozen. So I'd like to give it a go.
We both looked at the screen and the only one listed is for the alternator belt.
well, the parts guy may not have known HOW to properly enter data into his computer.......there likely are several variables, depending on engine, trans, a/c or non a/c applications. perhaps he was a new guy to this, he may have entered the wrong data into the computer. ask for a manager, or go to another parts store.......i know damn well that by 77, ALL the F-series trucks offered AC
