Just have a question. I'm looking to switch out my regular mirrors for tow mirrors. I have found a used set nearby that came off a 2009 f150. They are heated, power, and have the signals, same as what I currently have. So what I was wondering is, if anyone knows for sure if the '09 mirrors will fit on my '13. If any one has any idea let me know.
I know that 09-12 fit my 2009. I want to say that the 13 they changed the posts but not 100%. I could be wrong. I know when I put tow mirrors on I had someone mention something like that to me. I did the install myself and it wasn't too hard.
Here is my thread for the mirrors I got. I can't find/remember where I heard the compatability issue but its sticking out in my head from a prior conversation: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...lind-spot.html
Yes the Door panel has to be removed. Thats why I linked my thread cause I had a small little writeup with some tips from when I did mine on page 2 post 21. If its like my 2009 don't forget there is one under the panel in the little storage area on the arm rest. I actually found a youtube video for the door panel removal and used that to guide me through removal and reinstall. use my string technique too for making sure the plugs don't get trapped in the door.
