frame rust

I have a 51 F6 and the frame is good, also a 79 Bronco frame is good, my 98 Expedition frame is fine. Today I jacked up my 98 F150 for tie rod work, placed my stands under the frame, let the jack down and the stand go's half way through the frame on the passenger side. Any good way to fix this so it's safe? or is it junk? no way I would sell this like it is. anyone else run into this?

You need to clean up the frame and inspect to see the total damage. If this is an isolated area, i think you could plate over it. If there is 2-3 foot long area that is bad, then the frame is shot. Older frames were thicker and heavy. New frames are thinner and higher alloy steel to get the same strength. Wire brush and black paint/ undercoating will help these trucks a lot in the midwest salt winters.
