hi i was wondering if there are any high performance pistons for a 400 ford? this guy at pronto told me he cant find any ? but i dunno bout that one......he looked through kieth black ....pro series... and speed pro and others..or will any for 351 cleveland or windsor work? he couldnt find any for 351 M either........thank you kevin
There have been dozens if not hundreds of threads on pistons of all types for the 400 posted here. Please take a few minutes and use the search function in this forum and you will find more information than you can possibly use on the hunt for 400 pistons and who has used what to increase the compression ratio.
On some 351C forged pistons you can also drill out the pin bores to accept the larger 400 pins ( press-fit) I did a set of older Speed-pro's and the meat under the pin is only .013 less after drilling than a set of factory cast pistons
Maybe we need to find a few good informative threads about 400 pistons and post them in the "sticky" thread topic and make it "Forum guidelines and FAQ's"...
i sent my reply in email. i thought i would take bills examples and take it off thread.
yes we do need to encourage the use of the search feature. we also need to encourage the use of search in a nice way. i have found out that a lot of older ones do not show in a search.
