Yeah my mirrors used to get covered pretty well too. You got me thinking of a small lift would look good. Just don't want to spend $ on that right now.

I had a 2002 F-150 w/ 36s back in the day. No flares. I loved watching them rooster tails flying by the window lol. I could clean that bad boy up spotless and drive the 1/4 mile down my gravel road and manage to hit that one water hole and sling mud all down the side of it... quite irritating lol

Yeah my mirrors get covered and my sides get covered about half way up the windows lol. Your truck would be easy to lift though, a coil spacer and larger block and done. you might need an adjustable trac bar or drop pitman arm but you can always add them later like i did.

I been thinking about it. Maybe when I get new tires next time. I been spending my dough on other hobbies lately though and had to buy a new to me work van for work. Never know what the summer can bring though.

That sounds easy enough lol. Whats the purpose of a adjustable trac bar? Iv read that a few times but it cant be too important if I can put it off lol

It basically centers your axle, so when you lift the truck the body gets farther away from the axle creating a less acute angle which will pull he axle more towards the drivers side. When you ad an adjustable trac bar you can lengthen it to make it centered again so you wont pull the axle over. My Zone leveling kit came with one but I ended up needing a drop pitman arm so then i had to add a drop trac bar bracket as well because the pitman are and trac bar need to be at the same height other wise you will start to experience bump steer issues. Ill List out what I have Below in a sec ill modify this post.

Main Lift Parts
Zone 2.5" Leveling Kit
PMF 5" rear block

Relocation Brackets
BDS Drop Pitman arm (sometimes not necessary)
BDS Drop Trac Bar Bracket (necessary if using a drop pitman arm)

Shocks
0"-2" Bilstein 5100Front Shocks (optional)
2"-4" Bilstein 5100 Rear Shocks (not necessary stock will work but i recommend getting longer ones)

Recommended Accessories
PMF Extended SS brake lines (optional in most cases but definitely recommended)
PMF Extended Front Sway bar Links (not necessary but they help with sway since the stock links are now shorter than they should be)

General Site Links (I can provide ones to the parts i specifically purchased if desired)

FWIW I did 2" spacers, and ended up pulling the lift instead of doing the trac bar/ pitman arm because my new (smaller) 34x11.50 Trail Graps cleared with no lift. Listen to Matt, he's got you covered if you want to go the small lift route.

I love the Trail Grapplers. I've ran them on multiple trucks and never been disappointed in how they perform whether it's mud, sand, snow or wet roads. It leaves some to be desired on ice, but it's a mud tire, not an A/T.

I'll probably run them on my '14, I'm still debating on size.

Holy Jesus! You had some nice trucks Shaun.

Also one thing I noticed is that at highway speed the truck likes to wonder now so a dual stabilizer should help with that.

I like this post. My '00 7.3 lariat 4x4 has the black over harvest gold paint. Since the incident, I've ordered the '07 harley package with the exception of the grille, and I ordered one like Matt's. Glad to see a pic of the combo. I may paint the bumpers and flares harvest gold, but can't make up my mind. I destroyed my michelin LTX's which after 50k miles left a lot of meat on the bone. 11/32's in the middle and 7/32's on the sides, my fault, because I softened the ride at 35lbs. Based on my use, I would probably get 4-5 years out of the Grapplers, definitely have to update the wheels anyway. My '00 Lariat wheel and caps aren't scratched at all, just dated. My goodness, the time spent in comtemplation. I Like the wheels on the '12 f150 and the 03 Excursion. My past experience; get something I don't have to clean everytime I look at it.

depending on your driving habits and lack of desire to clean daily i would honestly stay away from matte black, they can be washed and washed and then washed again and waxed and still can look dirty after one little day of blowing dirt or driving off road or even through water. I love my wheels and honestly wash my truck almost every other day so i cant complain too much, but just my 2 cents about cleaning and wheel choices.

As far as tires go, like i said the Nitto has been great and I am torn between Toyo MT and Nitto Trails, which are the same tire same company, im just contemplating on which size and weight ratings and those decisions. IT will be one of these two tires unless there is a huge development in the next few months...

The Toyo MT's have siping I believe but the Trail Grapplers don't.

I agreed with the matte black wheels mine are dirty as hell here in New England, what do you recommend to keep them clean looking?

IMO I would paint the flares to match the two tone otherwise it just looks goofy because the stripe stops at the flare instead of the end of the fender.

Just to be clear. My decision is either stick with the Harley Davidson monochrome black scheme, in which the two tone harvest gold would have to be painted black as well as the flares. It's the same effort to paint the trim gold. What I'm saying is get rid of the two tone or not.
