I am having a heck of a time removing the harmonic balancer bolt on my 360fe. I can't get enough torque without turning the engine over. It's an automatic so I can't put it in gear.Any suggestions.

I've seen on the forum board where a guy ended up using a pipe wrench behind the damp placed on the spacer holding it.
Also had to use a socket and a long handle breaker bar placed up against the frame while socket on pulley bolt. Remove coil wire and bump the starter. Had to do it this way on my sons Tacoma. It works best with 2 people tho! dangerous yes use a impact socket.
Had to use a cheater handle with my son's truck. His crank bolt torque was like 175-lbs. the only way to remove it with the tools we had. That was common practice with the 4cyl.
Or try duct taping the breaker bar into place & try it..
