You won't need a splitter. Your tuner is used to "flash" the ECU with a new program. Once that's done you disconnect the tuner from the OBD2 port.
You keep asking if 207 is a high oil temp and people keep asking you what your coolant temps are. They are asking because IT'S IMPORTANT. Get on the freeway and do freeway speed for about 10-15 minutes and then note oil temp AND coolant temp. if the oil is any more than 6-7 degrees higher than coolant you might as well change the cooler while youre doing the delete, just because it's a smart thing to do. My guess is you'll see about a 15-17 degree split, cuz this time of year chances are slim that your coolant temps will exceed the 190f thermostat temp while cruising.
ALSO, listen to what FICMrepair.com said - do a proper collant system flush prior to doing ANY other work. You want to get all the muck out of the coolant system that clogged your oil cooler in the first place.
