Thumbs up F Y I

This post is from a tech in another forum...

Spent all day with a Ford engineer trying different sofware on the PCM, then on the FICM until we found what was causing the no power from idle to 2,000rpm.

It was the fuel injector control module (FICM)we tried previous reflash versions on the PCM first with no effect.

Found that the reflash that was sent out with the recall has a problem with either not enough timing or not enough fuel early enough to get the truck up and running.

Anyway I now have a hybrid software in my truck. Latest reflash of the PCM and TCM (tranny) and the previous reflash of the FICM.

Ford is now going to have to go back and see what they did between the latest version and what was out previously to determine the problem/fix.

At any rate they are VERY serious about getting this right so thought you all would be interested in what happened.

Now I'm a happy camper and my truck runs like it did when I bought it.
