e150 stiffer leaf springs.

Hey Guys

I have a 95 e150 that I would like to raise and stiffen in the back, but I'm having a hard time finding the information I need as to finding leaf springs that are the correct Length, Width, Curvature, and Stiffness. I'm looking for a fairly significant increase in stiffness while gaining about 2-3 inches in ride height, to go along with the stiffer coils I put in the front already (cc855 Moog).

I imagine that I'm going to need new, longer U-bolts as well, as the ones that I have have no room for more Leafs as it is. Also, I've broken leafs before in the past, but not in a while (which is to say that I'm probably due, and I have a slight imagine in the back of my mind of the main leaf snapping and the van doing cartwheels down the freeway as a result), so that is why I am leaning towards all new springs in general, as opposed to a simple add-a-leaf kit, which may otherwise be a perfect solution.

I'd appreciate any advice! Thanks!

E150 rear leafs

One place I found on the web has a lot of information on them. I haven't done any business with them, though. Try: Leaf Springs, Helper Springs and Suspension Parts | SD Truck Springs

What are you hauling or towing that takes such a toll on your suspension?

I bought a few rear suspension items from Leaf Springs, Helper Springs and Suspension Parts | SD Truck Springs. The good thing was they were real helpful over the phone if I had any questions.

Thanks for the advice folks and sorry for my late reply! Also, I meant mood CC844 springs, not 855.

I haven't done any towing yet, although I have a 4.56 gear set and pinion I'm going to throw in when I rebuild the Axle as I do intend to do some light towing later on.

I checked out that sight Cappo but i think ill have to give a call over the phone. Im willing to bet that they have something in their inventory that will be my solution, be it Bronco or F150 or something. My frontcoils from moog are for an early to mid eighties f250 and fit perfectly, for example.

How many leafs do you have right now on the vehicle? You should have a 3/1 spring right now? You could go with a heavy duty version of your spring which will be a 4/1, which will increase your load capacity and also your rear end height approx 2 inches or so.

I see you're a sponsor but can't find anything you sell!

Hey ATS
I thought I had a 4+1 but I just went and looked and it's actually a 3+1 sagging down so much it looks like 4 regular leafs. That may just be my solution!

I found this on your website.
Ford E150 Van Leaf Spring, Rear HD

I'm pretty sure I would need longer U-bolts but I'm not sure which ones by looking at your site ATS. Can you help me out?

Hey guys. I just installed the new leaf springs from ATS. I haven't hit the road long enough to feel the difference, but I got the lift I was looking for and then some! Ill post before and after pics when I figure out how.
