I'm hopefully installing an auxiliary transcooler to my truck later tonight.
I'd like to know wich of the oil-lines to the radiator is the "hot" feed line and wich is the "cold" return though.
I'm trinking the upper one is the feed from the transmission and the lower one should be the return, but you never know?
front trans line is out from trans - into upper section of rad - out from lower section of rad - (install optional 180°F t-stat here) - into aux air cooler - out from aux air cooler - return to trans in the rear line.
if you used a correct size aux cooler,you'll have near perfect temps (175°F) almost all the time,year round with t-stat.

Yep that's pretty much what i have done now. Don't have niether a thermostat nor a temp guage. But i'm hopeing it won't boil over now at least.
Boiled over last summer so ended up splitting the transmission. Luckily it escaped relatively un-harmed but i then realized the stock cooling won't fly when driving slowly for longer durations. Ordered an auxiliary cooler right away but got the truck up and running before it arrived and only got around to inatalling it now, lol. :-)
