Judging from your picture, in my personal opinion you've got the ugliest generation of the superduty,
As far as interchangeability of parts between manufactures, maybe you could substitute a bolt here or there but I'd say thats about it. Look at them side by side and nothing is even close, just similar styling.
I'm agreeing with you...love the current new Super Duty styling.
Kind of thought the 2015 F150 has some Toyota-ish resemblance depending on what angle it is viewed from. Interesting to see it in person as it always seems to look different than in pictures.

As for the optional dinky engines, it surely is to help the corporate fuel average. The Govt. will mandate gasoline out of existence if they can. If you need a truck that only does so little, you dont need a truck..
Cool attitude...
Just because a truck has a little engine doesn't mean it does little. First when I started in construction I had a '96 F150 with the 4.9L/300ci 6cyl. My wife's Fusion has more power than that truck did, but I didn't have any trouble hauling material to jobsites. At that point I didn't have trailers and equipment so the basic truck was all I needed. I'm at a point now where I make use of a Super Duty, but I'm considering buying a second truck for my hired help. A basic regular cab/long box truck with the 2.7L ecoboost would be ideal. It will be fully capable to haul things in the bed, material and such, which is all it would be used for. The 2.7 will likely still be rated for a 3500lb trailer, which is also useful.
The mentality you (and others in the world) have that you need largest product available to get the job done is complete BS. The guys who take a .50 sniper rifle to go deer hunting when a .243 is more than enough to get the job done. I say BS. Keep your ego in check and your useless words to yourself. The truck that "does so little" will satisfy the needs of many who get what they actually need, not what their testosterone levels tell them they should buy.
"Soft hands guy cars" are nice to have. It saves mileage on our work trucks and usually are easier on fuel. Many of us are secure enough in our manhood that we can drive a car, pedal a bike, or whatever else we feel like. I've even taken pleasure in walking.
Peace out all...
Hope the 2015 F150 does well for Ford, and gives good service to the people who buy them.

Soft hands? Maybe I don't plow snow but I don't push paper either! Have had a few Super dutys myself and stand by my words that the orange front markers were the ugliest front ends those trucks came with. Oh and I make more than enough money to make my own payments selling people breathing air thank you very much for the offer though!

Does have similarities but enough differences to be able to differentiate even at a quick glance, headlights and all body lines completely different, grill similar shape but different at the same time. Taillights do resemble the first tundra taillights though more than the last gen, but tundra has changed the taillights they run completely and to me look a lot like the 03 ram tails

you lost me on the orange marker comment,,what does a amber light have to do with the looks of the truck? And the breathing air comment..Boy this thread is full of code words,,,
Hes one that you mentioned about caring more about looks than function.. you two are full of **** I think the new truck is ugly you think its not. So because you're all haters with all your newer better than mine SuperDutys(more sarcasm like the interchangability, moron) you are correct and Im not. I choose to drive my truck daily for dozens of reasons, SuperDuty owners who depend on the truck for a living work them harder than you can imagine.
Up until now, I don't recall anyone "hating"...it was simply personal preferences. I'm very sorry that you can not understand the simplicity of my explanation in how each truck configuration can be useful. I fully understand how hard Super Duty's work, and how hard people can make them work. I happen to use one for work.
On with the grade 3 name calling I really enjoy having internet quarrels, its such a mature thing to do...

No code words, I literally sell breathing air. Work in oil and gas providing breathing air for people in IDLH(Immediately dangerous to life and health) situations. When they went to the clear lens the looks and appeal of the truck greatly improved, although I have always liked the super duty, just when the new ones came out I liked them much more.

No, you don't work your truck harder than I can imagine, I've worked my trucks just as hard as you, I just don't go around throwing it in other peoples faces and insult them by accusing them of being little soft hand car guys lol.
No pictures of me working my trucks but here's a couple playing:
03 getting ready to go out
Trading 03 in on 07
Out with the 07
Also I have snow tires on the car and it gets around fine without any plowing.
There seems to be like 4 or more different grills to chose from, so I don't know what you are talking about.

New truck is still ugly! As far as insults, go back to page one..RollerStud dropped the first insult. Then look at all of our post counts and realize that YOU spend your life trying to be right on the internet. Did the EBay headlights make that 03' pull harder? BTW a camper is not a workout for a SD.. Im headed to my shop to drop my plow. I think I'll get one of my cars out and do some doughnuts(help keep my ego in check).
