I just swapped out my junk two bolt starter for a new three bolt. It's nice and tight with just the two bolts, but I do need a third to make it right. Does anyone have the size/pitch for those bolts? All three are the same. Thanks!
On my 7.3 There Was Only 2 bolts. The bottom one fell out. I did a quick Google seach and found the right size. I went to hardware store. Bought 2 new ones and a Lil locktite and replaced Em both... sorry i just don't remember the exact size.
Found it! M10x1.5x35mm. Big thanks to all for helping. Also, seems our trucks have an issue with the starter bolts backing off. Many reports of "nearly falling off"! Mine was quite loose. Good item to add to your oil change checklist. Cheers!
The bottom*bolt*is a 10mm x 1.5mm x 35mm metric flange*bolt*grade 8.
Instead of using 10mm x 1.5 x 35mm would 10mm x 1.5 x 40mm work for 03' f250 7.3 power stroke engine? I've looked everywhere for the original bolt size where I live Indianapolis and noone has that size in stock. So would a 40mm work instead of 35mm?

Ok cool. Thank you. Tired of having this issue with my start bolts coming loose.
I will usually grab a wrench and check the starter bolts for snug and a few other points when I perform an oil change. I have a Fumoto valve on the oil drain, so I have time to spare while the oil is draining.

If your starter bolts come loose on a regular basis, check to see that they don't wobble in their holes. If they do, that means the holes are worn and should be repaired with some form of thread repair immediately. I have used the Recoil kit with great success: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You may want to opt for longer coils that utilize the full depth of the adapter plate:
Also, metric bolts have strength classes, not grades.
You want Class 10.9 bolts at least.
