points change

Hi everybody i have a 1947 ford 1 ton and i need to change the points in the distributor any procedure i have to do or special tools needed to do this job

No special tools, but its best to remove the dist, from the engine to do it.

No.....
make sure the points/condenser are good quality units (ex. blue streak, etc) and not Chinese crap; unless the replacement points provide, use a very tiny coating of white lithium grease (dry) to the lobe of the distributor shaft (this was sop in the 60's & 70's...then, well you know) ...this reduces point bounce.
