make sure the points/condenser are good quality units (ex. blue streak, etc) and not Chinese crap; unless the replacement points provide, use a very tiny coating of white lithium grease (dry) to the lobe of the distributor shaft (this was sop in the 60's & 70's...then, well you know) ...this reduces point bounce.
