I would like some advisements about cam preferences for a 300 I'm going to rebuild. It'll mostly go back stock except for going arp on the head and main bolts. Actually can't decide between the 252 cam and the 260, I don't see any advantage to the 268 since Im not revving it out. Will also upgrade to an MSD box and coil, and pertronix in the distributer. The truck is plain 2 wd with 3-on the-tree and 3.23 rear gears which I thinking on dropping down to 3.00. It sounds like Im winding it up a bit high on the hywy. I will listen to any and all suggestions to make my choice and keep you posted on progress as well as results. Of course the cam will get all the compliments with it ( springs, etc.) although I can't seem to find just roller tip rockers. Is their a preferable piston for this engine?
