Replaced the headlight/dome switch...not the problem...I guess by process of illimination it has to be the cluster itself....odometer works. I give up ?

Changed out the headlight/dome switch not the problem. Old switch was workin fine. By process of illimination I guess it's the cluster itself. Talkd to a friend who is a parts manager. Even if I buy a used cluster it has to be calibrated by a ford dealership to co-inside w my gear ratio n tire size. Not to mention the odometer had to be "spun" up to my current mileage. It's gonna be awhile before I can afford all that. thx for everyones response. ;-). richie
Check the 15 Amp fuse in the engine compartment it is fuse #8. Is it blown? As I understand it, the running lights are somehow tied to the dash lights to warn you that there is an issue with your tail lights. I am currently fighting the same problem.
