OK I noticed that my left turn signal indicator wasn't flashing but the right side did and the exterior lights all flash correctly and at night the dash lights don't work at all and the right side indicator bulb appears partially lits when I turn the dash lights on. All the gauges appear to be working right, the dash lights for the heater controls don't work either. What should I do, what are the common reason for this? Is this even common, help!!!
Thanks
well start with the obvious, check the fuse, its the smallest one in the fuse panel.....if that checks out you will have to pull the dash cluster out and check the bulbs and connections on the back of it........
I had the same problems when I got my 76. When I had a dim light always on for the turn indicator, it was a bad connection at the front turn signal bulb, I had to replace the socket. As for the dash lights, mine just had bad connections. Take out the instrument cluster and monkey with the bulbs and the wires. If everything above has been checked and it still doesnt work, try a new headlight switch, mine was about $16 at Napa for a 76.
