AZ law requires 'splash guards' on 'lifted' trucks, so I figured I would spend some money on flaps instead of a ticket. My original plan was to get some duraflap's with custom artwork, but at almost $300 I reconsidered. The clearance at the rear of the wheel well between factory fender flare and the tire isn't much, and adding a flap that goes in between didn't look like the right solution.
So I fabricated some hangers and bought some 12" x 18" flaps from Napa for $18. They attached to the fender and the frame, and are adjustable. I cut the flaps down to about 14" so they don't get ripped off backing over a curb or a rock.
The right side benefited from a slight bend to properly clear the exhaust.
The goal wasn't the best coverage/protection, it was to adhere to the law and still look decent.
Perfect Justin, nice job man!!!
You taking orders?
I haven't pulled the trigger on flaps & flares yet, surprised I haven't been tagged on it yet, just a matter of time...
My wife on the other hand, pulled over all the time in her Hummer, hmmm, cute blond, go figure...
Hey Justin I think that's my Honda saddle sitting on the ground, ha?

Unfortunately I only take orders from my wife. She says not very well either.
It took 6 years to get a mud flap ticket in my old truck, didn't even know I needed them... $144. I guess here in AZ SUVs don't need them, but trucks do.
Yes I think that is your CRF450 seat, why you had the carb apart at the same time as all the grinding and welding, well I'm not sure.

Funny stuff Justin!!
Oh and the carb apart vs grinder/welding, you're singing to the choir, we all get that
