Picked up this 66 SWB in San Antonio, Tx. Truck is solid. One small area on the drivers side near the drip rail which will need to be addressed. Running little 3.9L 3 speed. Floor shift conversion. Damaged right fender. Purchased with a donor fender which was solid and in great condition. Here are a couple of photos I took while doing the body work.
**looking for factory mirrors** Anyone know a good lead?
I would strip that blue fender. Paint it a flat white. Leave it exposed to the weather.
Get that beauty mechanically 100% .
Then just clear coat it like it is.
That hood couldn't have rusted over more evenly.
That's why I call me rusbukt.
Cool ride!
don't throw that old fender away ! the rear half of it looks great for someone that just needs a patch panel !
You are correct. It is a good panel. If you know anyone in need of one, tell them to PM me. I am not going to get rid of it. It's solid and no rust. There is good metal there.

These mirrors are aftermarket. Ford offered several different types of optional outside mirrors. See post 22 in the side mirror sticky. All are obsolete.
The one type that isn't shown in post 22 is the chrome mirror with the 5" round head (^ pic in post 10 ^). It's been reproduced, fits all 1953/66 trucks with the slots in the doors.

Yes, I have found some reproductions but have been scanning pick and pull junkyards to see if I can get some originals. I haven't had any luck.
