Heads UP!
So apparently when a 2001 7.3 gets 13 years on it you have to replace the water pump, alternator, idler pulleys and varies other pieces parts.......
$1200 of work on this thing in 13 years...... Be warned!
I congratulated the mechanic for being the first to touch those factory parts.

I hold the opinion that theses beasts go through the "terrible twos" after 225k-250K. Things cascade, and it seems like the truck has it in for you. After replacing everything on Stinky (except the block), he's behaving almost like a factory-fresh truck... only spunkier. Mine may be a worse-case scenario, but it's a lot cheaper than new.
