Okay. In the process of removing the automatic hubs. I am a mechanic by trade, but I have never removed automatic hubs before. How in the world do you get into that confined space to remove the snap ring. Instead of using a flat snap ring, there is a round snap ring in an inside diameter. I can't use my snap ring pliers as the ring tightens outward. I tried a couple of pocket screw drivers, but, there just isn't enough space to get a good angle at it.
How I get them out is take 2 picks, one 90 degree and 1 straight. Put the end of the straight pick against the end of the snap ring to keep it from spinning round. Then take the 90 degree pick and try and pry the opposite end of the snap ring up in one quick motion. Takes a few tries but eventually it'll spring up and you can pull it out by hand.
Last time I had mine out I ground a bevel on the ends of the snap ring to make it easier to slide a pick under it.

Hey, if you are knowledgeable on engine performance, I started a new thread titled "Diagnostic Codes". I need some more 90's model info. I'd appreciate it if you'd take a look at it.
