I am looking for the following part numbers for my 03 f250 44
knuckle seal
Wheel bearing oring
Inner axle dust seal
Did my ball joints today with only ball joints. I'll have to go back in with seals and I think I will replace the knuckle u joint too.
does anyone know what the part number is for the replacement dust seal (the new metal one, not the original neoprene one) for a 2004 f-350? I believe I have the dana 60. Will it work in my truck and axle?

You do have the Dana 60. The part # is 3C3Z-3254-CA. I just replaced mine today, while doing ball joints.
thank you hodge5. I appreciate the response. Is there a special tool needed to install the new metal dust seal, or can something be made to work? I've already bought the vacuum seal installation tool, but I'd rather not wait for another tool to show up... Thanks again!
That's not the same seal. That goes into the end of the axle tube; what we are referring to, as I understand it, is the larger dust seal that goes into the back side of the steering knuckle, behind the unit bearing.
Mpirate, there is a tool to seat the dust seal- https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=...Qwg8IMQ&adurl=.
This is one example- there are less expensive ones, that are similar. They run as low as $60 or so.
I didn't have time to order one, and I didn't want to spend the money. So, I made my own. It needs to be big enough in diameter to seat properly on the inside seal, and to clear the axle stub.
Thanks hodge5. I already have the special tool to install the vacuum seal on the back side of the knuckle. What I was referring to was the revised dust seal (the new metal one) that is supposed to go into the axle tube inboard of the ujoints. The youtube video that yahiko posted (thank you yahiko) is correct, but I cant seem to make out what kind of tool that he is using to seat the seal. I have tried several methods and either the metal seal doesn't fit, or else it is just a bitch to install without the proper setup...I am about ready to go back to the oem style. At least its easier to install!! Thanks guys.
EDIT you might want to search Ebay by part number I just found one more for less.
The other option and it does work is find a PVC coupler that fits the seal inside the raised
lip and just work around the PVC edged with a tap hammer.
Here is that tool on Ebay. Way over priced from what I paid even.
The seal has a lip that the seal drive does not touch so that when you
push it down in the bore the up turned edge holds it in place. You
can see how it should be seated in the photos.
Be sure to clean all the rust from the axel shaft and apply grease so
that you don't rip the seal as you push the axle in. Also you no longer
need the old support that is in the tube if it is still there still.
One thing I did before sealing things up was vacuum out the axle housing
on both sides just to remove any dirt and flakes from the tube.
