Check guage
Well it turned over just fine but wouldn't start. I tried twice, perhaps cranking 20-30 sec. each time. I did notice a "Check Gauge" light on the dash (which I've never seen or heard of before then), but everything else was as expected. Checking the gauges I observed (after cranking a short bit) both the gas and oil gauges registered, however the two temp gauges (engine & tranny) were (of course) at dead bottom cold. As expected to me as it was only about 20 degrees at that time.
Rather than kill the battery I decided to revisit it at a later (warmer) time. Yesterday, after several days of temps 40-60's I retried it. It quickly started with no problems. I did notice that this time the two temp gauges were not at dead bottom - even though it was still a cold 50.
So, fluke or should I anticipate problems? If so, where do I start looking?
EDIT: No additional idiot lights were on.

Once again, I've never seen/heard of an idiot light saying to check gauge, that was a new one on me.
Bad cold weather and then it wouldn't fire, it did turn over quite well. I decided to wait and retry once it warmed up. After several days of warmth I tried again.
This time there was no joy. I tried many different times/several days apart/ with the same poor result. I was almost ready to have it pulled in when one day it suddenly fired - I delivered it directly to my mechanic.
He kept it for two weeks - with it never failing to fire for him. He did replace #7 coil (stated plugs looked fine) and the fuel filter; he also serviced the tranny and rear end. After two weeks - unexpectedly one day it wouldn't fire for him and he replaced the fuel pump. Now $755 later I said bring it on back and let me watch it.
Which he did today, delivering to the wrong house. Neighbor came home from work and found it in his yard.
Time will tell if he was successful.
