Whatever the manual calls for on viscosity and API certification (the latter means no Amsoil, since most of their products aren't certified).

For the 5.4, 5W20 is what Ford says to use. I personally use Mobil 1 since my truck gets run hard and idles a fair amount (emergency response) and I intend to see at least 200K on it. Pennzoil Platinum and Motorcraft synthetic blend (red bottle) are also great choices.

Since I run my '11 changes based on the computer widget I use the Motorcraft 5w20 that the truck is spec'd for. Plus its one of the better oils in the price range.

If I was going with either a standard non-synth change interval I'd use whatever certified oil is on sale, or for extended change intervals I would have to do some research, but possibly either Napa synth, M1 or Penzoil Platnium.

Use what Ford says! Viscosity is very important, e.g., 5w-30 for Ecoboost, my 5.4, 5w-20. I use full synthetic.

I run 5W-30 Mobil 1. Luckily, my '95, my wife's Chrysler 200, and my '13 Eco all utilize 5W-30 so I'm able to keep just the one oil on hand.

Both my F150 and Expy use 5w-20 synth as my manual says.

I never use anything except Motorcraft 5w-20 synthetic blend and a Motorcraft filter.

Used to run M1 0w20 in my Excursion that was spec'd for 5w20. My EB spec's 5w30, and I currently have Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 in the crankcase. Thinking about switching over to M1 0w30 at the next change.

You really can't go wrong with oil choice as long as it's API certified and of an appropriate weight.

ON edit:

Mobil1 0w30 meets the WSS-M2C946-A spec for the EcoBoost engines, and Mobil1 0w20 meets the WSS-M2C945–A for the other engines.

In my 01 that we traded, and the 2011 5.0 that we have I like Motor Craft 5-20 synthetic blend, and Motor Craft filter.

The only difference that's noticeable to the driver with full synthetic would be cold starting performance. That's because synthetic oil typically flows better than dino when it gets really cold, so it'll be a little easier to start your engine. Unless you run an oil analysis you'll never tell the difference otherwise.
