Thinking about taking a look at this guy tomorrow..not familiar with SD's at all. Recently retired my 94 F150 5.0 4x4 ZF5 swap, mainly for rust, and looking for lighter duty stickshift trucks, especially one that hasn't been lifted 8" and sitting on huge rubber, leaves the picking slim (really think I want to stick with gas, maintenance wise) Swapping the 33's for 31's and ripping out the body lift on my old truck made it perform better, get better mileage, and overall just felt like a better truck.
quick comment; mainly used the truck for ugly weather driving (save the Lincoln LS), the occasional haul of sheetrock / gravel / mulch, and a few times a year pulling a boat or car trailer. I know I don't necessarily need a super duty, but what's the downside?
OP, not sure where you're located but come on down to sunny FL. You could get the same truck for the same price, but looking a heckuva lot nicer. Fly down, and drive home with a nicer rig.
