Flareside bed question

Quick question That I couldn't find a answer searching for. Will a older model flareside bed fit 73-79? I'm pretty sure they will but I'm not 100%. I know the older models don't have the wheel arches in the bedsides is there any clearance issues?

From a few measurements I took it will "fit", but there are a couple noticeable differences. One is the issue of the wheel wells in the bed. If you are using the truck for serious off-roading you may scrub when fully flexed. I believe the bed was also a little bit shorter. And the older model beds don't have the fuel neck hole in the fender since the tank was in the cab on those trucks. I am also looking into getting one though. Around my area they are also alot easier to get in better shape.
