I have a offenhauser dual plane intake on my inline 6,300. My carb is a carter 9400, 410 cfm. The carb can be mounted 2 ways, primaries facing the motor ,primaries facing away from the motor. Does the position matter. To mount the accelerator linkage it would be easier to have the primaries facing away from the motor. The pic. shows the primaries facing the motor.
Looking good. The 9400 series AFB was what I was looking for in a carb but they seemed to be quite spendy when found so I went with a Holley.
On the Offy DP the carb primaries are supposed to be inboard. A throttle cable set-up is easy enough to install. A Lokar cable and brackets are a little spendy but well worth the investment.

I acquired a 48" Lokar cable and a Spectre bracket and ran it around the front of the carb to pull from the fender side but later changed to a Lokar bracket which gave me a little more clearance between the cable and the heater box. I also shortened the cable as it was a little bit longer than needed.
