I also have a few of the IH sensors (the old black) and and they work great. As with most things, stick with OEM. 10mm wrench is all you need, and maybe a screw driver. Keep the area around the sensor clean in case you do need to replace it on the road. Inspect the wires and plug. Use anti seize on the bolt, oil on the oring, and dielectric grease on the plug.

I recommend a product called P B BLASTER, it's a bolt and rust remover spray. Spray it on the bolt, let it sit for a few (5 minutes), then try to remove the bolt. I've been wrenching for over 40 years, this is the best product I've found. Also, the bolt head takes a 10 MM socket, and use a short extension. A 3/8ths drive will be better because of the limited space by the belt. And buy the Ford or International sensor, the others are junk!!! P.S. Carry a spare!!!!
