Do not know how common of a problem this is but the pivot arm bracket that mounts to the firewall for the gas pedal is cracked. My truck is a 1970 and a neighbor has a 67 with the same issue. The only problem is I cannot find anyone that sells a replacement for the 1970's f100. Anyone have any suggestions ....? Oh and was going to weld it but removed it and realized it is cast iron

Look at it before hitting it with heat. I am assuming there are some nylon bushings in there where the bellcrank pivots. Been too many decades since I sold one and looked at it. The bellcrank and bracket assembly FOR A 302,352,360,390 was part number C7TZ9725N for 1967-early 1972. Before serial number P60,001. 300 I6 was different. Nobody in the country shows one left. I have not tried DC.
1967/71 F100/350 / 1972 F100/350 before serial number P60,001 // Serial number is the last 6 digits of the VIN
No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

Those fire wall mounting bell crank brackets are made of zinc. The same as what carbs were made of. Some of the Aluminum solder sticks should fix it. This the stuff some guys sell at swap meets & good guys car show. That stuff works great. orich
You are correct Bill. I really should have called it an accelerator but I didn't think OP would catch what I was saying. I really did mean the 9725. Heck, I always suggest people trash can the 7a185! Even back in the day I sold folks the D5TZ9747B to go straight from the 7a185 to the carb. D3TZ9747B in a pinch.
