1990 Ford Ranger Shift Linkage Issues

Hello again FTE. I have a new issue now. The other day, I was driving down a hill and my truck all of a sudden did not want to get out of second gear. When I put the clutch in, it went into neutral, but I could not shift the truck out of gear. Finally, I stopped, turned off the truck and called AAA to get me home.

Now, my friends and I have pulled the transmission to check the pressure plate, the flywheel etc. Everything looks great. However, inside of the sift linkage, it has a broken trigger mechanism that attaches to the shift rod. Could this be the problem? It looks like the shift rod, engages this trigger which sends the shift linkage arms into the transmission, putting it into gear (that is how it looks to me)

Also, where the hell can i buy just the linkage? Or at least a repair kit for it that has all those small parts? Any help would be nice. Thanks guys. I hope you come back to this thread Tom, because I love the way you've helped me before.
