New Headlights???

Hello all,

I did a search of the forum and did not find much. I am looking to upgrade my headlights with something that throws a little more light and came across these..

RECON Part # 264192CL - CLEAR Chrome Projector Headlights Ford Superduty & ord Excursion 99-04 w LED Halos & DRLs

Not sure if anyone has them or has seen them in operation. Looking for something besides the standard Ford light. As HID conversions are not legal here, need to find the next best thing. Thanks for your time...

I experienced a pretty noticeable improvement in light output just by switching to the SilverStar Ultra's. They've been running now for over a year without a hitch, and are still giving really good output.

I switched to those as well a few years ago. I now have an issue of the reflective coating coming off the inside of the head light and its just a matter of time before they lose their ability to project full light.

Interesting. How long did you run them before you observed the coating degradation? I'll have to look into mine a little more closely. If (or when) I get to the point of having to replace them, I'll probably just go ahead with the '05 nose job as my "replacement".

I have been running those about 4 years or so. Not sure of any connection with these lights or if I just have a messed up housing. I am looking at a new grille, headlights, CCV mod, and new fuel pump for this years updates. Just put in my AIS yesterday and that was a definite improvement. I think I have the grille selected, CCV mod kit selected, and fuel pump, just need to find me some lights

I did the exact thing to my truck and couldnt be happier! I bought i believe 03 headlights from rock auto and they fit perfect and they throw off allot of light compared to the oem ones. Another thing i would recommend is new bulbs from sylvania and get the silver star ultras.
