I have a 2008 E350 with the 5.4L eng. I'm getting the WRENCH light on the panel and after reading about other Ford models, it could be the TPS sensor.
Does anyone know where its located on this vehicle? The symptom is when I press the gas pedal down the engine doesn't rev up at all.
(I haven't tried getting any codes yet, but in case it is the TPS I want to where it is)
Throttle Position Sensor is located on/by the throttle body.
Get the codes pulled ASAP because that dash icon probably triggers when a few other things are amiss too. A TPS fault will be shown in any DTC string you're able to retrieve.
Most likely it is the TPS and if so isn't a tough repair assuming you're somewhat adept at DIY wrenching.
If you're not aware FTE has a dedicated forum to the 5.4 V8's, you could post this same question there. Be advised though first question and reply you'll get is "what are the DTC's ?" Link: Modular V8 (4.6L, 5.4L) - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
