What a great idea to start a thread where we can toss in random shenanigans about our truck projects. Figured I would take the initial stab sharing what I found while changing the rear end oil. Looks like its time to upgrade to an explorer 8.8!!

those are probably just extra gear teeth you didn't need.
Chet - Any fun meets I should add to my calendar? I hope to have Tina comfortably freeway worthy before spring hits.
I'm not savoy to anything going on around hear, but would love to make to any I can. I'm also just barely getting my truck roadworthy, baby stepping little by little longer road trips. It sat for 15 years and there's still quite a few parts that I'm playing russian rewlet, like all the u-joints
u-joints… just need more grease! Hahaha And yea, mine was last registered in 94 in Texas. Upon replacing the wheel cylinders I found these little guys :P

Nice! At least you have tons of brake shoe lining left. I'll see your scorpions and raise you a bunch of black widows. (white blotch is a nest.) I think they're dormant this time of year.
google Poor Boys Midnight Mass for another good show too

I guess that's a one good thing about being up here where it has been a high of 4 degrees today with a twenty mile an hour wind. Critters like that don't last long in these conditions, neither do people!
I was working under the dash in my truck tonight and I came across a hide-a-key box. I opened it up and saw this, took me a while to figure out what they were. I wonder what's happened in the cab of my truck.
That is amazing. I'd put it right back where it was
Looks like I get to pull an 8.8 rear end this weekend. 9" is leaking through the pinion seal and pinion support. Plus it sounds like a air raid siren... :-/
