Wont start
My 2000 X will crank with a non pats key but will not start !.
When I purchased my X I got a great deal on it because it would not start.
I used the service of a locksmith to reprogram the system, cheaper than the dealer. I got the X to the locksmith with use of a Pats bypass module, available for most remote stare alarm systems. There are two bypass version, one is temporary and the other is permanent, I chose the the temporary so I could retain pats with my ( Viper ) remote start alarm system. I never determined why the pats system lost the code in the first place but its worked great sense being reprogrammed ?.
