I would bet all the repop places are getting the piece from the same import supplier. If carpenter says it is imported everybody else is most likely using the same source. I have bought "made in the USA" parts from other places and when it arrives it is wrapped in dennis carpenter packaging - they are one of the few that actually makes it stateside. You will need to drill out the old rivet and replace with a pin of some sort. Most of the home improvement places carry shouldered pins with a series of cotter/snap pin holes...you cut off to the length you need with a dremel and metal cut wheel or hacksaw; a spring washer b/w the two parts and spray lithium grease will help prevent binding.
