Door handle shaft
Shaft is boogered up. Door handle is stripped. I want to replace the shaft and get a new handle. I see the shaft part several places.
On my truck, the arm is riveted onto the shaft part. How do I replace it? I don't have a way to put in a rivet.
Also - is there a "best" supplier to buy this from?

I would bet all the repop places are getting the piece from the same import supplier. If carpenter says it is imported everybody else is most likely using the same source. I have bought "made in the USA" parts from other places and when it arrives it is wrapped in dennis carpenter packaging - they are one of the few that actually makes it stateside. You will need to drill out the old rivet and replace with a pin of some sort. Most of the home improvement places carry shouldered pins with a series of cotter/snap pin holes...you cut off to the length you need with a dremel and metal cut wheel or hacksaw; a spring washer b/w the two parts and spray lithium grease will help prevent binding.

Ford only sold the C1TB-8121818-B .. Door Lock Remote Control as a complete assembly. Right/Left is the same / Obsolete
Applications: 1961/66 F100/1100 / 1963/69 N/NT/T500/1100 / 1967/69 F800/1000.
CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 3 = 800-476-9653. No one else has any.
