my trucks been doing this **** for almost a month and my mechanic cant seem to figure out what it is. my ficm was dropping to 35volts so i replaced that but its still doing this
ICP/IPR is going to fluctuate a little with rpm swinging like that, but verify IPR duty cycle isn't high.
I would look at fuel pressure first. (a guess I admit)
New fuel filters- properly installed.
Factor oil filter cap and filter.
Verify new FICM voltage and plugs seated good.
Was truck up to operating temp in the video?
Did you rev it a couple times to "save" it from stalling or was that all on it's own?
it did that all on its own, its at the shop right now he's trying to replicate it but it seems to not want to do it when its there or when hes around. when it starts doing that i can plant the gas pedal to the floor and it doesnt do anything.
You need to get a ScanGaugeII : Linear Logic - Home of the ScanGauge
Then load up the Xguages and someone will tell you what you need to
be watching other then the FICM voltage. Things like IPR & ICP data.
Also I would check the plugs to the IPR and IPC to see if they have any
oil on then. If they are wet you are going to have to replace the pigtails.
will do, ill have him send me the readings tomorrow for the ipr/icp and post that. ive kinda spent all my damn money on the thing in the last month, so the fact that its still doing this is driving me nuts. could oil getting on the plugs really cause this?
