Ok I have a 85 f350 2wd that I want to build as my road hauler and I am considering a swap that I have been told cant be done measurement wise I think it will fit (there are other challenges but I can deal with those later) my biggest question is does anyone think the frame and suspension will support a 2,500lb engine?

The engine I want to swap in is a Detroit 8v-71

 

Anything can be done with enought time, money, and steel lol

Idk any specifics but I did just read an article about a monster cummins from a pete in the bed of a f150, was pretty cool
