Abe, there are outfits that make Ethanol stabilizer, Star Brite, Sta-bil among others. Alleged to "help prevent" phase separation, wherein when water is introduced into a gas tank with gas and e-10, the gas and e-10 will absorb water until saturated, then the water will separate and find it's way to the bottom recesses of a given gas tank. If your fuel pickup is low enough, you've got problems. What we need is an additive that REMOVES ethanol. If possible, only run non ethanol fuels in your Baby. I run the "stabilizers" in both my boats here in Florida and in any stored gas.
I suspect that the "stabilizers" are just more alcohol like dry gas to dissolve any excess water. I really doubt they do much to help the deterioration of rubber problem or the auto manufacturers would be recommending them and/or the refineries would be adding it to their gasahol.
I know since I started using premium in the wippersnipper, snowblower, lawnmower, chainsaw and the snowmobile when its time to start every thing in the new season I don't hardly ever have a problem starting anything. When I leave the cheap fuel in anything I usually allways have a carb or two that needs removal and cleaning.
