Day time running lights

Just bought an 02 Super Duty 7.3 that has day time running light. Is there a way to disable this feature? Thanks.

What lights are on? My 02 uses the fog lights as the running lights.

The low beam head lights are what is on.

I would start with looking in your owners manual and see if there is a way to turn it off through buttons or switches. The other way I could think if would be to locate the relay or fuse and pull it. Just make sure your headlights operate normally after you do.

Also depending on where the truck was built and shipped, it may have been mandatory. I believe in canada all cars after a certain year were required to have daytime running lights.
