I was on tire rack doing some comparisons on possible replacements for the stock pirelli scorpions when I found something interesting. There are two scorpion atr's for sale.
The mexican tires are $15 dollars cheaper than the brazilian ones and they're 7 pounds lighter per tire but near as I can tell from the specs provided on tire rack they are identical. Any one know what the difference between the two is?
I doubt there is any difference between the MX or the BR tires. The price difference is listed as "SPECIAL" so for reasons that Tire Rack has, the black wall tire is on sale. Other than the white letters or black wall difference, I would think it is more likely to be an entry error on the weight.
There's a great price difference between LT and P rated tires. The Firestone Destination is a great example on tirerack.com. Something like a $50-$60 per tire difference.
