stacked shift?? NEED HELP!!

so I'm not sure if every Super Duty 73 does this it seems like everytime my tranny shifts into 4th gear it shifts twice either its a real long shift or it has two shifts to it. I did install a shift kit and it seem to help it out a little bit,every gear shifts fast in with a little snap and 4th gear just seems like it has two shifts to it unless you're really in the gas!!! Does anyon . Know what this could be or how i could test it if theirs a way to do so?

You're likely feeling a shift into gear, and then the torque converter lock up.

It's got to lock up at some point if you want it to be efficient. The two points being close to each other won't hurt anything.

That's the first I've heard of stacking shifts.... May need to let my cummins buddy know about this one.... He's been itching to stack more stuff on his stacks of stacks but I bet he never thought of stacking his shifts on top of others shifts.
