double shift

it act's like it's shifting twice thru one gear. I think I may have found the problem. I think some type of shift kit was installed. Their are fused links in the fuse panel, when I unhooked them, It went back to shifting normal. Anybody know how to adjust the shift points.

I have a superchips with the trans shift firmness turned up and i experience the same thing you do, only noticed it in second gear, i think it is just the torque converter locking up, i think the lock up speed is 40 something...maybe 42 or 44...im sure someone in here knows the exact speed. but if you notice it doesn't do it if you have the pedal to the floor frome the get go, at least on my truck anyways.

Mine only does it in 2nd as well and if you stay in it, it shifts just fine. The problem is when your pulling a trailer you can't always do that. mine doesn't upshift until 3500 rpm.

different computers (catch code) shift at different times depending upon how ford felt that day. Your lockup will also vary depending upon whether you have OD disabled or not. Mine locks at 40 w/ OD on and 30 w/ OD off.
