My truck went back in this past Monday. They ended up replacing the fuel pump and I haven't had any more problems since. Knock on wood.

Did your warranty cover the repair. Was the part, the low pressure pump aka the DFCM? or the High Pressure pump on the engine since the sensors are monitoring the rail pressure and your low fuel pressure light was not on. I'm guessing they changed the DFCM but I love the fear mongering by just typing the letters HPFP.

My truck had the low fuel pressure warning last week when the temp was -18 degrees. I added anti-gel to the fuel and let it idle for a while. I topped the fuel tank off (anti-diesel fuel gel mixed to what the jug recommended) and let it continue to idle. I drove off slowly but the check engine light went on. Idled it to the dealer and he reset the check engine light. It was because the low fuel pressure issue. The dealer said 3 other trucks that morning came in with the same issue. No issues after that. Fuel was just gelling in the -zero weather.

I just experienced the same thing but with one addition. My "reduced power" display illuminated. It had been reading low fuel pressure for a week, and I checked filters, too. Turns out my fuel pump ate itself, and sent shavings throughout the system. The good news is that it's covered under warranty: Bad news is that the part is on backorder for two weeks.

QUOTE=PetersPatio;13895616]I have a '13 with 11,000 miles that the low fuel pressure light has come on a few times this winter. I took it to the dealer and told them what was going on. They only changed the fuel filters and didn't investigate any farther. The paper work also said it was the low fuel light and not the low fuel pressure light... It was fine for a few days but then it happened again. The fuel pump would make some noise as well. The light comes on and the fuel pump makes noise when the temp is close to 0 and I accelerate to highway speeds. I am running winter blend fuel and running the Ford anti gel so the fuel shouldn't be gelling.
I stopped in at the dealer again about a week ago and the service manager wouldn't send anyone out to listen to the noise. He set up an appointment for today. Today it was -8 when I dropped it off at the dealer and the light didn't come on and there wasn't any noise. It is supposed to be cold overnight so they are going to keep it to see if they can get it to act up again. They called into Ford but no answer from them yet.
Any thoughts?[/QUOTE]

Mine has done it again since then. It was gelling ever so slightly. It was obvious until you touched the filter. I have since switched to Power Service white bottle. I emailed them and they said since in MN I am stuck with 5% bio that I should mix 2 to 3 times the recommended amount of additive. I asked if there would be any side effects to the truck and they assured me there wouldn't be any issues. The funny thing is my 06 with a 6.0 hasn't had any issues with fuel gelling. The new trucks must be a lot more sensitive.
