heated seats?

My wife is constantly cold, and have been pondering installing heated seats in my truck. It has captain chairs with cloth. Has anyone ever done this? Vendors for the needed parts? Like they say a happy wife is a happy life!

Got heated leather in my SD and Edge. Love them.

There are many options for heated seat covers. Probably a whole lot cheaper then getting them installed in your existing cloth seats.

here are some examples...

Any decent auto upholstery shop should be able to install aftermarket heaters under your existing covers, too.

This is what I used. Seat Heater for Cars and Trucks from HeatedSeatKits.com They have more options available now, but I did mine several years ago and couldn't be happier. I prefer cloth seats, so now I have a way to keep my rear end and back warm.

They offer an install kit that comes with hog rings and hog ring pliers so you've got everything you need to put the cloth back on.

Mine work so well I had to put some in the wife's truck.

No need to replace the leather seat bottom like Christina did, just keep your cloth seat bottom.

Well I'm going to be in the market for seat covers soon so this is something I would also plan to do.

Some Volvos came factory with cloth and heated seats which prompted me to add heat to my cloth tundra. And soon my cloth SD will have them too. They were awesome!

Hey guys, thaks for all the replies. I knew there had to be some options out there. I like the looks on all these options, now just have to decide what to do.

The best part about aftermarket heaters, to me, was the hi/low rocker switch. You can engage the switch and remote start to a warm seat. Whereas factory switches are momentary and have to be pressed at every start up.

I bought this same thing for my wifes car from Rock Auto. About the same price I think. Works awesome with leather seats.
