hydro boost nut

How are you guys getting that big nut off the back of those hydro boost units is, this something a part store will lone or sell.

I think I used a chisel or gave it a shot with my air hammer. For some reason I think I could not get a socket on it....can't remember why not though.

Studs are in the way for a normal wrench, especially a crescent wrench.

There are special sockets for it, but not worth it.

An air hammer is one way, I found the easiest is to pound out the studs, remove nut with a wrench and then re-install the studs.

Make your own socket out of square tubing....or go over to IFSJA.org and look up Elliot...he is the hydroboost specialist.

That guy has made a few brackets for some Broncos. He's a pretty cool dude! I try to send people to him for bracket stuff if they dont feel comfortable doing that part themselves.
